I am the queen of lists. I love all lists, but I have to say that my favorite kind of lists are bucket lists! Every time I got a new place, city or country I start a bucket list. I am already over the moon with excitement for the trip but creating a bucket makes me even more so excited about the trip and helps me organize my trip. I am able to see, do and eat all the things I really want to and always leave room for some spontaneity.
There are 48 countries in the continent of Asia. That’s a lot of places to attempt to visit and some are more difficult to get to than others. So instead of creating a personalized bucket list for every single place in Asia, I’ve decided to let reality bring me back to Earth and make a some-what-reasonable bucket list that I could potentially accomplish!
The Great Wall of China; 长城 (cháng chéng), 万里长城 (wàn lǐ cháng chéng) literally translates to “The Long Wall of 10,000 miles” and it is one of the longest walls in the world. Over ten million people visit the Great Wall of China every year and the amount of information around how to properly explore this giant architectural landmark is overwhelming. If you are anything like me, I did a TON of research prior to witnessing the Great Wall of China. I didn’t want to miss anything!
When I say two days in Riga it wasn’t actually a full two days. And of course, two days is never enough time to fully explore all that a city has to offer but if you only have a few days in one of the Baltic capitals this is how you should spend it. Don’t forget to bring a scarf, it’s a chilly place! And check out my Riga: Bucket List to see and do all that Riga has to offer. Can’t wait to head back to this chilly capital!
Berlin is a quirky and happening city, with literally so much to do. It is basically impossible to find the time to do everything, see everything, and eat everything that makes Berlin, Berlin! From wandering the colorful graffitied streets, to seeing your history textbooks come alive.
